Kielce Metropolital Area (KMA)

Kielce is in the very heart of Poland. It is the capital city of the Świętokrzyskie Province.

Central location in the foot of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains – the oldest mountains in Europe - owing to its defensive value dating back to the times of mining and smelting tradition had always been a key commercial, political and military centre for Poland. Polish magnates' and knighthood had their conventions here along with military gathering taking place here before major wars.

 

Kielce - the centre of potential and experience.

It is the seat of such companies as Kolporter, Cersanit, Barlinek or Echo Investment.
Kielce Trade Fairs, with its position and 15-year old experience, plays an important role in creating an investment image of the city. This is the place of 40 venues annually along with 4000 exhibitors including 1000 foreign ones. Its market share in Poland reaches 19%. Kielce Trade Fairs as the only centre in Poland provides special exhibition space for heavy mechanical industry working as a military range, building site, etc.
It has a Conference Centre with state-of-the-art audio/video equipment, fast Internet connection as well as air-conditioned conference rooms. The increase in the significance and size of the fair events has a direct impact on the situation of regional companies which resulted in the creation of a trade fairs, conference and services claster. The exhibitions facilitate relationships with foreign partners established by the city, thus building its image.

 
 

Kielce citizens love sport and major sports and recreation investment projects are the result of that love.

Football Stadium in Kielce is one of the most modern ones in Poland. It was officially opened on 1st April 2006 with a 15.500 spectator area along with a two-storey stand, heated pitch areas, UEFA standard lighting, spectator infrastructure and a training football pitch. A modern monitoring system provides high level of security.

 

Kielce Metropolitan Area links experience and initiative.

In 2005 Kielce City, represented by Wojciech Lubawski - City Mayor, signed a partner agreement with Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency concerning mutual cooperation at the aim of Kielce promotion. After first successes, neighbouring communes showed an interest in gaining foreign capital as well. The City decided to extend the area to the Kielce Metroplitan Area, further referred to as KOM. Investor Partner Centres were created to provide professional customer services for foreign investors.

 
Investment in Kielce Metropolitan Area is a good step towards future with educated personnel. Annually, 60 thousand students graduate from 14 higher schools: Politechnika Świętokrzyska, Akademia Świętokrzyska, Wyższa Szkoła Ekonomii i Administracji oraz Wyższa Szkoła Handlowa, Wyższa Szkoła Umiejętności. Additionally, education level has been significantly increased by programmes organized by Kielce City Hall aiming at developing such skills as Business English, computer studies, accountancy, human resources management. The above-mentioned programmes are the answer to newly created centres for accounting and financial services.

 

Major investment

Around 30 investment projects in the areas of services and communication are realized each year, recently: revitalization and rebuilding of the Main Square, Sienkiewicz street and Artists' Square, Kolporter offices, Cersanit, Barlinek and Echo Investments official seats, Castorama and Lidl stores, Echo and Pasaż Świętokrzyski shopping centres, new multi-level carparks and road, not to mention the rebuilding of national road no. 7.
